1. Does anyone know if there is any mod that allow you to modify the running time of periods? So that you can go in between 5 and 10 minutes?

2. There was a tool for NHL08 that allowed you to set specific sliders and then make THOSE your defaults so you never lose them. It was also a way of sharing your slider set. My version doesn't work for me, it loads but crashes when you try to open the fmisc.viv. Is there another tool that does this?

Ok, so I don't want to get too far off topic on this thread. In the end, knowing exactly where the team names and stadium names are in the audpbpe file is too complicated correct? There is no map?

Yes, I understand that it is difficult pasting together audio clips to asssemble into new words. I'm an audio editor, I've done this kind of thing before.
But what I need to know is what each asf file is in the pbp audio file.

Can someone direct me to an application that would let me access the in game songs heard during stoppage of play and also the play by play audio files so I can do some editing?

I feel like there were gameplay packages people used to release that edited the aidata.viv. Does that sound correct to anyone?

Were there ever any kind of files or external applications that controlled AI or mods that controlled game difficulty? I don't mean edits in NHLView, I mean an actual program that allowed you to tweak game physics, etc.

Also, I used to use a program to set the different distances and angles for the camera views. Is that program still around somewhere?

I'm not sure, but I'll try to do an update next time I'm in the Windows 7 part of my dualboot where I play 09.

I've just done an entire reinstall from scratch. Not only a fresh NHL09 install but after having just reinstalled Windows. So everything is perfectly clean. Stopped to try a few things along the way to see how they were installing to test things. This stutter has always been there even with the unmodded game. This is obviously more a graphics issue or graphics settings issue.

Nope. On a more than sufficient desktop. All my other PC EA Sports games from then and earlier work fine. It's this weird stutter, it's not slowing down or speeding up but it's like it's skipping frames. Or struggling to smoothly draw the movements on the screen.

Does anyone happen to know why this may be happening? The gameplay is a little jumpy, it stutters a bit. It's not slow, it's just choppy and not very fluid. I have more than enough video specs to run this game but it really suffers badly from this. Can anyone recommend anything?

I imagine that there probably is no modification that permits all 31 NHL teams to play in a season, correct? Because the game simply doesn't permit thatm any teams?
