The only thing I can think of is that the AV program thinks the file is a virus.  You would need to put the whole folder in the whitelist for the AV program.  I had that before a few times because the AV program kept doing that.

did you run the game before installing the rosters?   The game creates the My Documents/NHL09 folder plus the exhibition.exh file inside that folder after you load the game once after installing the game.

Just so everyone knows.  I did not make it.  I just host it so people can get it.  I don't remember who made it.

The reason why I asked is because laptops graphic cards are not supported and can cause the game to be jumpy stuttering.

The file is trainer2005.fsh and it affects every team

I am guessing a file in the actors.viv file.   

You can't add those.  It is not programmed in the game.   Just a trainer helping a player off the ice. 

What the hell?  Speak English.   

You can't even install addons.  Now, you want to make your own.

You need a program like Photoshop which is expensive.

Just use the ModifyFaces file that is linked in How To Get Addons to Work with Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10 and Basic Addon Installation

Unzip the main game folder

Run the addon installer

Run BHImport.

Reinstall the game and select English.

It is on the disc.  It is in one of CAB folders.   the filename will be like gamedata_faces_viv

Just copy to your desktop, rename it to faces.viv and then put it in your gamedata folder

This program will hexedit the faces.viv for you.

Your kidding right?   It is pretty explanatory.

You installed something and did not close either program before you ran the game.

The game crashes at startup for 2 reasons.  BHImport or BigGUI open or you did not install the rosters correctly.

Is BHImport, or BigGUI open when you try to run the game?

Did you run BHImport?
