jcnyr7 816 Posted September 14, 2019 (edited) Here I will be displaying all 30 NHL team player photos that I will be updating and adding to our wonderful game in the next few weeks. I will do my best and try and aim for a start of season release for all packs but until then I will be making a flurry of photos and updating the teams I have already done as NHL training camp and exhibition proceed. Here is how I have now figured how to make my player photos for the game, Firstly I search as many full photos from https://www.gettyimages.ca/ as possible, then I individually search for the best possible photo for any players not on Getty, crop all of them one by one to where it looks best (not just a severed head) remove.bg one by one after then in Photoshop I resize width % to around 125-130 depending on photo then when copied in template I set layer height to 1.5 in, center the image, sharpen, remove black and white matte, jersey swap and edit any players that need proper team apparel DONE ! each team has taken about 3 hrs per so far but I'm getting quicker that being said I need to be careful ? So all you need to do is download the photos and resize/crop them properly in Photoshop. Here's an example of Andrei Vasilevskiy from Yahoo (https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/5699/). Right click on the player's photo -> 'Inspect' -> to the right you'll see: 'background-image: url(https://s.yimg.com/it/api/res/1.2/8XSA8fgZlj1XcZep_Cgriw--~A/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7dz0zMDA7aD0yMDA7cXVhbGl0eT0xMDA-/https://s.yimg.com/xe/i/us/sp/v/nhl_cutout/players_l/10222018/5699.png' Remove the https://s.yimg.com/it/api/res/1.2/8XSA8fgZlj1XcZep_Cgriw--~A/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7dz0zMDA7aD0yMDA7cXVhbGl0eT0xMDA-/ part / copy the 'https://s.yimg.com/xe/i/us/sp/v/nhl_cutout/players_l/10222018/5699.png' part for the full HD photo. I'll post the tip on fixing the shoulders if need be. The NHL portraits are usually easy to crop without having to fix the shoulders unlike e.g. the IIHF photos. I am happy everyone seems to be enjoying the packs so far and they will continue roll out day by day This was a fun project for me and I was eager to complete it. That being said some people need some recognition for their help on this face pack re-vamp. BIG MASSIVELY HUGE THANK YOU to Vojghi for providing me with all the new Elite id's that were missing from the Elite Faceplace id list, without them this project would never be as in depth and simply just not as good. THANK YOU V !
